Baby & Children Swim School

Swim school Robbi is a small swim school for babies and children in the heart of Britz-Berlin, Germany. They have been manually taking booking requests via e-mail or telephone and managing them through Excel or even physical paper. The website was outdated and needed a re-design to go with time and represent the school in what it stands for, including a functional web and mobile experience.

All this needed to be accomplished with minimal costs involved, a better booking system to receive automatic bookings and manage them more efficiently. We decided to keep using the Wix free version, which limits the design capabilities but doesn't require new hosting. I incorporated a booking system from Yolawo.

Role

I am the project owner, as this is a freelance web design project for the owner of my childhood swim-team. She wanted a more suitable look for her baby and children swim school website. She needed a booking system integrated to save time with booking management.

Homepage

I created a new branding and look for each of the pages. Overall utilizing five different hues of blue for the branding, switching background, button and object color across all pages to create a playful but cohesive design.

Starting with the Homepage, which has a reduced and reordered navigation bar with fewer pages, focusing on the most important pages and information the clients need before booking their childs first swim lesson.

The first lession

The first lesson page initially showed a small list of items. To make it more visual for the parents, I changed the layout of the page and added some images of items needed for the first lesson.

Our Team

The team page used up a lot of spaced and was very hard to read due to the repeating background image. I used one color backgrounds across all pages, created a new grid, added some information and updated the team members.

Location

I kept the location page very simple, not overloading it with a ton of information. Due to the re-designed header and footer, there is no need to add the owners information on the page again.

History

I created a storyline, starting with a small introduction about the schools history, following up with its mission and then introducing the owners with including facts about them.

Footer

The initial footer only had an image and a button, linking to the legal notice. In the updated version I included the address, the owners names, contact information and the button linking to the legal notice.
