"Glo-ing" in your next presentation

Glo is a Voice AI Presentation Coach housed in a presentation remote that helps people get more comfortable and focused while presenting. Glo is a personality who gives constructive feedback according to a user’s preferences and affirms users of their improvements and continued work. Glo is calm, collected, and there for the user even when the nervous energy takes over. The presentation clicker measures basic characteristics of presenting that are linked with discomfort: talking speed, shallow breathing, word fillers, and word overuse. Glo neutrally presents this data through conversational Voice AI to help users be aware of prioritized problem areas and improve through suggested exercises and practice. Glo not only establishes and improves a user’s practice routine, but it also helps them become more focused and connected communicators.

Role

I was the Product Designer for this project. I did research on buttons and which positions of the buttons are most intuitive for the user. I created the 3d model of the remote. I started off with sketches, created clay models, user-tested those clay models, created a 3d model and 3d printed the final model. On the other side, I had to ensure that the main functions of voice AI and external interface are working with the user's needs.

Problem

Fear of public speaking is considered one of the most common phobias people experience. While public speaking possesses many complexities that vary by individual, we believe gaining a firm grip on basic presentation skills will help inexperienced speakers gain foundational comfort and confidence at the beginning of their speaking journey.
