Toku
Make Friends. Have Fun.
Over 14 million college students in the US are shifted from on-ground to online courses. This creates barriers to socially interacting with other students. Students in online classes miss out on emotional cues, and online courses create a gap in the mental image between online and reality.
TOKU is a three-dimensional world designed to provide a virtual school setting for natural meetings and conversations. The chat and collaborative game features help users to build a social bond with their peers.

· facilitate a social bond with peers in an online class?
· provide the means to have small talk in an online class?

· facilitate the recognition of non-verbal cues?
· let students recognize the other person's shared interest?
